Tourist reviews

I climbed the mountain over the Lemosho road at the end of August-early September 2015 for 7 days. There were 7 people in our group and it was booked through Altezza Travel. The climb was impressive and only 5 in the group (with me) actually reached. Almost everyone was sick at some point (may be) because of the height or food poisoning that prevented some from making the peak. But no doubt, it was a incredible experience!!!

I hiked Kilimanjaro (7-day Lemosho) with my sister. The nature is incredible, especially the first 2-day’s. The road was good for acclimatization. We found no serious symptom of altitude sickness in us. The route is in very good condition and the mountain itself is fantastic and incredibly huge. If you really like a rainforest and are not in a hurry to reach the peak, the way to Lemosho route is definitely recommendable.

Lemosho Route leads one of the longest routes to Kili. I recommend it to anyone who wants to climb this huge mountain. The tour was well organized and skilful plus our safety was outstanding at all times and the guides constantly monitored us to make sure we had no signs of altitude sickness. The additional days have given us time to get used to an ever-increasing height. A wonderful experience as well as a great hike!

The Lemosho Route allowed us to cross the different types of locality that Kili has to offer. I was always under the supervision of the guides. Summit day was a long and strenuous 8-hour hike. As soon as the sun came out of the horizon, it gave us an additional thrust to reach the point. Reaching the top was an indescribable feeling. Thanks to Altezza Travel for the coordination of the expedition without any problems.

We were a group of 7 with 3 women. Most of us weren’t serious climbers but we love nature very much. We have been training during 2 weeks in Chamonix before this incredible hike. Our trip was 7 days Lemosho route. The trek was breathtaking and a lifetime experience. Our team was the best and very helpful, they were very friendly. I recommend an Altezza Travel for those who are interested in trekking in Kilimanjaro. Thanks guys!

The Lemosho Route offers a view of the most varied mountain landscapes and the greatest opportunity to acclimatize the altitude. The tents and food were very nice. The 5 guides were the most impressive part of the trip. Our guides literally had hundreds of adventure trips to the top of the mountain and were incredibly competent in botany. Our group was very diverse with people from all over the US from 22 to 70 years old.

I spent 8-days trekking in Kilimanjaro with friends. After a thorough search, we came to the Lemosho route and the Machame route. But finally, we have chosen the Lemosho Route. As we have known the Lemosho route 8 days is much better, the long route can give the possibility to make a good acclimatization. We hiked for 3 to 5 hours each day. The route was very nice and not too crowded. We were glad we choose the route.

We have had an incredible climb up to Kilimanjaro by the Lemosho Route in January this year. Our group of 4 people aged 21 to 62 reached the peak in 6-days. We were well acclimatized and have stood on the top of Kili before a timetable. This effort would not have been possible without the guides and carriers provided by Altezza Travel at the reasonable price. Our guide Elias Massawe was really Trekking Hero. Thanks, bro!
